About Me

Michelle Fenton — Play Therapist, Primary Teacher & Early Years Educator

I am Michelle Fenton, a qualified Play Therapist as well as a primary school teacher and early years educator. My work is grounded in a commitment to child-led practice and emotional wellbeing.

I believe every child has a natural ability to grow, adapt and heal when they feel understood and safe. In my playroom, children are free to express themselves through play — their own language — while I provide gentle guidance, consistency and a warm, accepting presence.

Parents and carers are an important part of the process. I work closely with families to ensure the therapeutic journey supports not just the child, but also the relationships that surround them.

  • Child-led: each session follows the child’s needs, interests and pace.
  • Creative and playful: using sand, art, storytelling, movement and imagination.
  • Safe and nurturing: a consistent, confidential space where children feel secure.

Child-led

Sessions follow your child's pace and interests, building trust and confidence.

Creative

Sand, art, stories and movement help children express what can be hard to say.

Collaborative

Regular parent/carer check-ins support progress at home and school.
